Hypothyroidism, PCOS and Weight Loss

For men, achieving a weight loss goal is very easy. However, form women, it is entirely different. Most women are bombarded with a lot of medical conditions involving the fluctuations of hormones that can affect weight loss too. This is the reason why most women involved themselves on embracing almost all weight management programs to no avail and only to find out that the problem is not with the weight management program but on the body itself.

There are certain medical conditions unique to women that affect weight loss. These are the Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and Hypothyroidism. Both medical conditions are characterized with low hormones released by the thyroid glands. So if you are a woman and you feel that you are not losing weight regardless of how many weight management programs you have tried, then it is possible that you might have one of these conditions.

Women who are suffering hypothyroidism find it hard in losing weight fast and that there is little known about the cause of these diseases as they can be brought about by the complexity of the human body or brought about by other external factors.

However, for most women who still want to lose weight provided these conditions, they can still do so. It is still important first to have these conditions treated first before undergoing the process of losing weight. Once they are on the process of recuperation, they can also start shedding off those extra pounds by doing exercise. Since metabolism is very slow under these medical conditions, what you can do is to eat food frequently but making sure that the diet consists of low calorie fibers. There is no need to take in too much sugar otherwise it will be stored in the body as fats.

It is true that losing weight if you have these conditions can be very difficult but it can still be easy if you know how to manage your diet and at the same time have a sense of responsibility in what you do and eat.
